Fabulous Bendigo!!

Once again, dresses from the collection are on view at Bendigo Regional Gallery. This time funky 80s dresses - all designer labels like Zandra Rhodes, Missoni, Versace, Scherrer, Laroche. A small but perfectly curated exhibition. Went down for the weekend with a friend recently back from living in the Loire. Dressed in out best 80s gear - me in a sculpted white shift dress and bolero from Italy and chuncky jewels! Danced to Madonna in a marquee behind the museum then off to the Wine Banc (fabulous place with over 1000 wines) for dinner and then on to HUHA nightclub. Yep, country towns can be more fun than the big smokes- as they say in OZ!  And the food- wow...cafes are wonderful here and the attention to detail. How about the fabulous picture created on top of my cappucino - a work of art. Yes, Bendigo is worth a visit: graceful wide streets, French inspired architecture and beautiful churches. And.. lots of vintage clothing shops and charity shops full of retro and vintage gear.
